Hybrid cables
A number of hybrid cable products are now available in the market place. One example is of power cables being used to carry telecommunications cables. Our machines can be used for manufacturing the component parts, such as support for the fibre optics, tubing and aluminium clad steel wires. The aluminium clad steel wires are stranded around the central core to provide catenary strength and reduce cable sag when suspended.

Domestic
Aluminium extrusions are used for a multitude of domestic applications, for example, architectural components and tubing used in the cooling systems of domestic refrigerators. We can supply cut-to-length lines where necessary, for architectural products.

Metallurgical
Our machines are widely used in the manufacture of metallurgical end products such as master alloys and grain refining rod used in the aluminium industry and de-oxidising rod used in the steel industry. These materials can be produced from continuously cast bar, made immediately upstream of our process line or from granular feedstock materials.

Recycling
Examples of this application would be 1) the production of de-ox rod from aluminium dross or machining swarf, 2) the recycling of aluminium-lithium chips that would otherwise be buried in landfill sites, into useable end products, 3) the conversion of chopped soudronic wire into electrical conductors.
